Influencer and entrepreneur Dato’ Aliff Syukri went viral recently for sharing on social media that he has purchased a private jet using profits from his pickled mango business, a venture he runs alongside his eldest son, Ammar Ahyan.
In what he called a “big and special announcement” he admitted the whole jet affair was a marketing stunt and not an asset he owned. The jet was never his, and the video wasn’t real proof of ownership, but a promotional gimmick tied to his new role as ambassador for a jewellery brand.
Until that moment, many believed his video of boarding a sleek black private jet alongside his wife and son was a symbol of success earned through the pickled mango business. But after all that hype he admitted he cannot afford a private jet yet despite earning significant income through his enterprises.
“We cannot afford to buy a jet yet for now, but God willing one day we will.”
That video was then clarified to be part of the jewellery brand’s marketing campaign for which he was appointed ambassador.
He also used the moment to dole out financial advice to his followers reminding them to manage money carefully, to invest wisely in things like gold savings, and to hope for success in their pursuits.
"This is the real meaning behind the jet video we wanted to share with you the other day. We are very grateful to have been appointed as the official ambassador for a jeweller. We cannot afford to buy a jet yet for now, but God willing one day we will. I want to remind everyone, if you have extra money, invest it by buying gold. Thank you to those who prayed for our success. We also pray for your success."
