Maybank has announced, starting 8 July 2019, that any reload to all Malaysian third-party e-Wallets using Maybank Cards will no longer earn any Maybank rewards (TreatsPoints / Membership Rewards™ Points / Treats AirMiles) and Cash Back.
This move will affect all Maybank cardholders using e-wallet apps, especially GrabPay and Boost, both of which accept American Express cards, especially the popular Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum Amex that earns 5% weekend cashback and 5x weekday TreatsPoints.
