How the Cashback Works
The OCBC Great Eastern Platinum Mastercard rewards both your insurance commitments and everyday spending, although the earning rates differ depending on the type of transaction.
Eligible Great Eastern insurance premium payments earn 2.5% cashback, up toRM100 per calendar year. For example, if you pay RM4,000 in eligible premiums over the year, you'll receive RM100 cashback, which is the maximum annual cashback available for insurance premiums.
All other eligible retail spending earns 0.1% unlimited cashback with no earning cap. Cashback is automatically credited to your credit card account on the last day of each billing cycle, so there's no need to redeem points or cashback manually.
Eligible Cashback Transactions
The OCBC Great Eastern Platinum Mastercard earns cashback on most eligible retail purchases. Besides 2.5% cashback on eligible Great Eastern insurance premium payments, you'll also earn0.1% unlimited cashback on other eligible spending, including in-store purchases, online shopping, dining, groceries, petrol, recurring payments, auto-debit transactions, and Instalment Payment Plans (IPP).
Cashback isn't awarded for non-retail transactions or certain payment methods. These include:

Fees and Charges
The OCBC Great Eastern Platinum Mastercard has no annual fee for both principal and supplementary cards, allowing you to enjoy its cashback benefits without meeting any minimum spending requirement.
- Government service tax: RM25 per card upon activation and every anniversary thereafter.
- Cash advance: Interest is charged at 18% p.a.from the transaction date, together with a cash advance fee of 5% of the amount withdrawn or RM20, whichever is higher.
- Minimum monthly payment: The higher of RM50 or 5% of your new balance plus 100% of any contracted instalment amounts, including instalment plans and balance transfers.
- Late payment fee: 1% of your outstanding retail and cash advance balance, or RM10, whichever is higher, capped at RM100.
- Overseas transaction fee: 1.00% on top of the Visa or Mastercard currency conversion rate.

- Be a Great Eastern Life policyholder.
