What is Bagus 4U Personal Loan about?
Bagus 4U Sdn. Bhd. is a KPKT-licensed moneylender (Registration No. 202001005809 (1362129-H)) based in Seremban, offering RM2,000 to RM200,000 personal loans to salaried Malaysians.
- KPKT Licence No. WL7540/05/01-4/230628
- Advertising Permit No. WP7540/05/01-4/230628
What are the interest rates?
Bagus 4U charges a flat 1.5% a month on your full loan amount, working out to 18% a year. Because it's flat rather than reducing balance, you pay interest on the original amount for the full loan period, not the smaller balance you owe as you pay it down.
Formula: I = (P + P×R×T)/M
Where:
P = Principal Loan Amount (e.g. RM200,000.00)
R = Annual Flat Interest Rate (18% / 0.18)
T = Loan Tenure in years (e.g. 2)
M = Total Repayment Period in months (e.g. 24)
Say you borrow RM200,000 over 24 months. That's RM72,000 in total interest (RM200,000 x 18% x 2 years), for a total repayment of RM272,000, or about RM11,333 a month. This calculation excludes fees like stamp duty.
Your actual annual cost works out higher than 18% because the rate is flat. The Effective Interest Rate (EIR) also differs with your tenure:
- 6 months: 30.23% p.a.
- 12 months: 31.72% p.a.
- 24 months: 31.46% p.a.
What fees or charges should I expect?
- Late Penalty Fee: 8% p.a. on the overdue instalment amount
- Stamp Duty: Based on the Stamp Duty Act 1949 (Revised 1989)
What if I'm late on my monthly repayments?
You'll pay 8% p.a. on the overdue instalment amount, calculated daily for as long as you're behind. It doesn't compound, and Bagus 4U won't charge you more in late fees than your outstanding principal. There may also be a 3-day grace period after your due date, but it's granted at the lender's discretion, not guaranteed.
