What Is Hellolink About?
Hellolink helps civil servants and GLC staff get Islamic personal financing from banks and cooperatives. It's a platform, so it doesn't lend you money itself. It connects you with a bank or cooperative and helps you with the application. The provider then checks your application, approves it and sets your rate and terms.
Every package Hellolink offers is Shariah-compliant. That means you pay a profit rate, not interest. Hellolink also helps with debt consolidation and with cutting down the deductions on your payslip.
Who Are Hellolink's Partners?
Hellolink lists five packages on its site (checked in October 2026). Each one has its own starting profit rate.
| Package | Profit Rate From |
| Public Islamic Bank | 3.88% p.a. |
| AmBank | 4.25% p.a. |
| alrajhi bank Malaysia | 4.70% p.a. |
| OSK | 6.35% p.a. |
| RCE (Yayasan Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Perlis) | 6.65% p.a. |
Keep in mind that these are "from" rates. Your own rate depends on your income and commitments.
What Can I Do With The Money?
Most of Hellolink's site is about debt consolidation and salary restructuring. Debt consolidation is when you combine your existing debts into one new Shariah-compliant financing, so you only have one instalment to keep track of.
Salary restructuring is called Baikpulih Gaji on Hellolink's site. It tries to get your payslip deductions down to 60% of your salary, so at least 40% stays with you. Got a specific plan for the money? Check with the provider first.
How Much Can I Borrow?
Anywhere from RM5,000 to RM350,000, over 12 to 120 months. That's 1 to 10 years.
Your salary, your current commitments and your profit rate decide how much you'll get. If you already pay a lot towards other debts each month, or your rate is high, expect a smaller amount.
How Much Profit Will I Pay?
Rates go from 3.88% to 9.99% a year. Hellolink says they're fixed, so your rate won't change while you're paying. The 3.88% a year rate is for the Public Islamic Bank package.
Hellolink doesn't show the effective profit rate (EPR), which is what your financing really costs you each year. With a flat rate, the EPR always comes out higher than the rate you see advertised. Ask for it in the Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) before you sign anything.
How Fast Will I Get An Answer?
Hellolink says it takes about 3 working days. The exact time depends on the bank or cooperative you go with, since they make the final call.
Is Takaful Coverage Compulsory?
It depends on the bank or cooperative you go with. The Public Islamic Bank package comes with Takaful Ikhlas cover. Takaful (Islamic insurance) costs and who pays for it depend on the provider.
Ask the provider two things. Is takaful a must? And will the cost come out of the money you receive?
What Will I Be Charged?
Hellolink says you won't pay anything upfront for its service, and there are no hidden charges. Financing fees depend on the bank or cooperative you choose. Look out for these in the PDS:
- Processing fee
- Stamp duty
- Fee for settling early
- Late payment charges
- Takaful cost, if you need takaful
- Membership fees, if any (Hellolink says there's no monthly membership fee for Al Rajhi, OSK or RCE)
Can I Pay Off My Financing Early?
It depends on the bank or cooperative you go with. Ask the provider whether you can settle early and whether there's a fee. The answer should be in the PDS.
How Do I Pay Each Month?
It depends on the bank or cooperative you go with. Ask the provider if your package works by salary deduction or some other way.
What If I Miss A Payment?
Late payment charges depend on the bank or cooperative you go with. You'll find them in the PDS. Struggling to keep up? Hellolink suggests contacting the provider early to discuss rescheduling or restructuring your financing.
Can I Apply For Hellolink?
You can if you're a civil servant, a statutory body employee or a GLC employee, and you meet these basics:
- Aged 18 to 65
- Earning at least RM18,000 a year, or RM1,500 a month
- Working in the public sector or for a GLC
What Should I Have Ready?
Hellolink only asks for two things for its free eligibility check:
- Your valid IC (both sides)
- Your latest 3 months' payslips
- Your latest 3 months' bank statement
- Your latest 2 years' EPF statement
- Your CTOS or SPEKAR report, if you have one
Documents for the full application depend on the bank or cooperative you go with. The provider will let you know what else to send.
I'm Blacklisted. Can I Still Apply?
Providers check your credit history in CCRIS (Bank Negara Malaysia's credit reporting system) and with credit bureaus such as CTOS.
Some packages are open to people with past credit issues. According to Hellolink, this includes people with CCRIS or CTOS records and those on an Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) repayment plan.
Just remember that applying isn't the same as getting approved. The provider will still review your income, commitments, and credit history.
