Alliance Bank is expanding how its Visa Virtual Credit Card can be used. With the new Friend or Family Card feature, up to five family members can access one shared VCC while the main cardholder stays in control of spending limits and transactions.
The updated VCC was unveiled during the Alliance Bank x Sayang Green 2.0 event at Sunway Pyramid on 31 July 2026, where the bank also introduced its new VCC ambassadors, media personality Chan Fong and entrepreneur, DJ, and content creator Perry Kuan.
One Card, Multiple Users
The new Friend or Family Card feature allows the main cardholder to add up to four additional users to the same VCC, with individual spending limits assigned to each person.
Parents can set allowances for children, or relatives can help elderly family members with everyday purchases, all from the same shared card.
The primary cardholder can also monitor transactions in real time through the allianceonline app, keeping visibility over how the shared card is being used.
Features Built For Digital Spending
Every transaction uses a dynamic card number that changes every 30 minutes, giving cardholders more control over their online payments. The app also gives users more control over recurring subscriptions, allowing them to freeze or unfreeze individual payments when needed.
The VCC simplifies rewards too, replacing the old points-based system with instant redemption at more than 60 participating merchants.
