Batik Air has introduced special fixed fares for Hari Raya flights to Sabah and Sarawak to ease festive travel.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that ticket prices are capped at RM319 for Sarawak and RM379 for Sabah, in collaboration with the government. To accommodate demand, Batik Air is adding up to 140 extra flights to key domestic destinations, ensuring more Malaysians can travel home.

“As we approach the joyous festivities of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, travel takes on an even deeper significance. It is the bridge that reunites families, brings loved ones home, and strengthens the bonds that matter most,” he said.

In addition to the capped fares, Batik Air is set to increase its flight frequencies, adding up to 140 additional flights to key domestic destinations, including Kota Bharu, Alor Star, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Sibu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

The government has also set a RM499 cap for other domestic routes and worked to prevent ticket prices from exceeding RM1,000. Over 22,000 additional seats will be available during peak travel, with airlines increasing flight frequencies.

“This year, we have more aircraft and more flights,” he stated. “For instance, Batik Air now has a total of 51 aircraft, enabling them to boost flight frequencies and optimise operations.”
