Eligible civil servants will receive special cash aids from the government! During the Budget 2023, tabled by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, these special cash aids include the Bantuan Khas Kewangan of up to RM700 and Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri of RM600.

RM700 Bantuan Khas Kewangan

With a budget allocation of RM1.3 billion, this would benefit approximately 1.3 million Grade 56 government employees and below who will be entitled to a cash aid of RM700, while 1 million former public servants will receive RM350.

RM100 Salary Increment

Furthermore, the government is raising the salaries of civil servants from Grade 11 to Grade 56 by RM100. This is set to take place starting from January 2023.

"For example, [for] a Grade 11 civil servant with a salary of RM1,600 who was due to receive an RM80 annual salary increment in April, this person would now receive another RM100 monthly starting January.

"As a result, his final salary in 2023 will be RM1,780," Tengku Zafrul said.

Tengku Zafrul also mentions that these cash aids are given as a gift of gratitude from the government to civil servants who’ve been faithfully serving the nation.

RM600 Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri

As for the Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri, public servants can expect to receive the additional RM600 cash aid in March 2023.

The Budget 2023 was tabled by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz last Friday October 7, 2022 at Parliament.

With an allocation of RM372.3 billion - higher than the previous year’s of RM332 billion, Budget 2023 is expected to boost the welfare of Keluarga Malaysia, the country’s economic recovery and socio-economic development.

The theme for Budget 2023 is “Strengthening Recovery, Facilitating Reforms Towards Sustainable Socio-Economic Resilience of Keluarga Malaysia”
