Looking for a combination of good coffee, delicious food and hip setting to enjoy your weekend brunch? Look no further. The dish to try here is The Breakfast Chain (RM27), which combines both sweet and savoury flavours. It comes with two soft boiled eggs, cheddar, a berry compote yogurt with homemade granola and an apple, strawberry and ginger crumble. If you just want a sweet dish, try the My French Lady (RM26) that will leave your sweet tooth satisfied. You will get a thick slab of French toast, topped with strawberries and thyme, 55% salted dark chocolate and dollops of lemon curd and raspberry cream. Make sure you visit before 12pm if you’d like to try the dishes we mentioned above. However, there are other equally mouth-watering dishes from their lunch menu for you to choose from after 12pm.

Good Food & Co

Here’s the place to go for a weekend brunch if you want to enjoy healthy yet delicious food. This is a small and quaint café but don’t let that fool you. For a nice warm meal, try the vegetarian friendly Shakshouka (RM16) made up of vegetable stew, topped with an egg and served with homemade bread. If you want to add meat to eat, you can choose to add Merguez Sausage (+RM5) or Lamb Sausage (+RM6). For an exciting twist to a local dish, opt for the Laksa Pesto (RM17).

Frisky Goat

Are you a fan of waffles? This is the place you’ll want to have your next weekend brunch! The Classic Monsieur Ben Waffles (RM18.90) is an ideal option for a brunch meal. Choose from either the eggs benedict with beef bacon version or the Belgian waffles topped with turkey ham, creamy corn and spinach. You can even customize your waffles here but the options are a little limited.

If you want something aside from waffles, their Almost All Day Brunch menu which is served all day on weekends can satisfy your taste buds. There’s the Loaded Omelette (RM18.90). If you want to go big, opt for “The Works” Breakfast (RM26.90) which will include 2 sunny side up eggs, beef bacon, creamy corn with spinach, roasted cherry tomatoes, sweet potato pattied, mixed salad and toast with butter!

Yellow Brick Road

Expect to savour unique dishes here like the I Wanna Be Kaya (RM22), which is French toast served with poached pear, coconut mascarpone cheese & caramel kaya sauce with mixed nuts. If you’d like to enjoy pancakes for your brunch meal, try the local twist in the form of Apom Terbalik (RM22), which is pancakes with crushed nuts, sweet corn, Hawaiian coconut topped with gula Melaka and coconut candy ice cream.

Tip: if you’re looking for more pancake options, head upstairs their sister café, the Wicked Pancake Parlour where you will be spoil for choices of sweet and savoury pancakes!

Merchant’s Lane

This charming café is located in a refurbished colonial building on Petaling Street. Try the Kuli Eggs (RM21), a dish made up of curry dhal and chickpeas sauce with eggs and melted cheese, served with roti canai. If you want something sweet, there’s Kalau Aku Kaya (RM18), which is fried brioche bread balls with tangy lemon ice cream and kaya sauce.

This is the perfect location if you’re looking for a place with chilled vibes. Expect to savour food with cool twists of Asian and western cuisine here. Recommended dishes here are the Duck Confit Rice (RM26) and the must have Cincalok Fried Chicken (RM26). The charming interior and little attention to details sprinkled around the cafe will also be perfect to update your Instagram feed.

LOKL

When dining at this retro styled eatery, try the Scrambled Egg & Cheese Burger, which is accompanied with caramelised onions and sriracha mayo (RM18).  If you’d like to try a modern twist to a local delight, opt for the Putumayam Toastie (RM9.50), a unique dish of fried bread with coconut and dark brown sugar filling. Take note that the food items mentioned are on the breakfast menu, which is only available for order until 12pm.
