Where to go for Hari Raya Open House 2024?

With the announcement by the Prime Minister that there would be no Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at Seri Perdana this year, some might be wondering where to go?

Well the good news is that the Prime Minister's Department has just announced the following dates and venue's for the government Hari Raya Open House 2024.

Open houses for Raya are definitely a very unique Malaysian thing. It’s an occasion where a host throws open the doors of their home and welcomes a large crowd of visitors for the day.

Some hosts even rent a special venue to cater to a larger group. Usually, there would be free food provided, with some activities like performances too. 

Several government and state leaders have announced open houses at smaller levels. However, we’re going to cover some commercial open houses here that are opening their doors to the public. You’re welcomed to drop by and check out these brands and companies as they celebrate Hari Raya in their own special way. 

UEM Sunrise

Meliliea, a homegrown functional food and supplements brand, is hosting their Raya open house on April 27th 2024 (Saturday). It will be taking place at Meliliea APHQ at Bangsar South and feature a host of activities. 

Take this as your open house raya invitation to enjoy traditional dances, doorgifts, duit raya, a Karaoke session and a traditional costume contest. The open house starts at 10am and lasts until 3pm.

Kunkwan Raya Open House

Mandarin learning centre Kunkwan is throwing yet another Hari Raya Open House in Kuala Lumpur. This 27th April, drop by Kunkwan's KL Centre in Sungai Besi to celebrate Hari Raya with a host of celebrities. 

You'll be able to meet artists like Dr. Soo Wincci and enjoy performances by singers Oppa Malay and Meer Nash. Food will be served but attendance is by reservation only, so make sure you contact them by PM on their Facebook to reserve a place.

KL Wellness City

Drop by KL Wellness City in Bukit Jalil this coming 18th May and be treated to food stations and performance by buskers. The Raya open house invitation is extended to the public, starting from 12pm onwards. 

Visitors will be able savour a buffet spread all-day whilst getting to know more about KL Wellness City community and what it has to offer.

If you have children aged 3-12 years old, here's an exciting weekend activity. MY Craft Studio TTDI is holding a Hari Raya Carnival open house with plenty of craft activities that your kids can try. 

To be honest, MY Craft Studio's open house is pretty unconventional, but it does provide an opportunity to expose your children more to the arts and crafts world. They will be able to participate in activities like rock painting and a child-friendly baking class.

Gembiraya at TGV

Consider this your Hari Raya open house invitation from TGV this festive season! They're selling ticket packages for two films, namely 'Badarawuhi di Desa Penari' from Indonesia and 'Sheriff', a local production.

The packages come with an 'open-house' style buffet meal at the end of your movie session, which includes delectable delights like Chicken Rendang, Curry Mee and Lemang. Priced at RM75, this package also includes a bucket of popcorn to munch on during the movie itself.

SP Setia Raya Batik Raya Cantik Open House
