Are you looking for a year-end getaway? Or perhaps starting to plan your leave in 2018? We’ll take a look at some of the top destinations you can travel to with your AirAsia BIG Points. With their new Freedom Flyer Programme, accumulating BIG Points is no longer out of reach and we suggest you read this article to find out everything you need to know about the new loyalty programme.

The destinations below range from 500 to 20,000 AirAsia BIG Points based on the Final Call Sale and Final Call Sale X fares. The lower range fares from 500 to 1,500 BIG Points takes you to islands across the region, while destinations that are above 20,000 BIG Points are the international flights. 20,000 BIG Points might seem like a lot but fret not. You can still redeem a flight with the BIG Points + Cash option at checkout. As long as you have a minimum of 500 BIG Points in your account, you can top up the balance with cash – no destination is out of reach!

These deals are based on the Final Call Sale and Final Call Sale X. It’s important to note that the promo fares are only redeemable via the AirAsia BIG Loyalty mobile app, so you won’t find these deals on their desktop website.

For the city explorers: What is there to do in Jakarta you might ask? The horror stories of its congestion is enough to deter many of us but you could be missing out on its amazing bars and restaurants, The National History Museum which is near the Monas monument, the nightlife and shopping. The Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Jakarta (the Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park) is a very interesting site to learn a lot about the local culture. And if you’re a big fan of antiques, walk down Surabaya Street.

For the culture lovers: Kuala Terengganu within our home of Malaysia offers customs and traditions that is worth seeing for yourself. Not to mention, it is home to some of the most beautiful islands in our country. If you love nature, you won’t be in short supply of forests, jungles, mountains, and waterfalls. Visit a lemang factory and learn how this is made and if you want to learn more about Islamic Civilization, don’t miss the Islamic Civilization Park. Indulge in the yummy keropok lekor, stroll around Chinatown, ride a boat along the river, and go sun tanning in Redang Island! We also highly recommend Puteri Hill, located 200m above sea level and is the highest peak of Kuala Terangganu.

For the beach lovers: Phuket needs no introduction as it is one of the more popular islands in Bangkok. Rather than stay on the main Phuket Island itself, we encourage you to explore its beaches such as Hat Karon or Hat Kata Noi. Pristine waters, white soft sandy beaches, you’re guaranteed a great holiday. Phuket offers something for everyone, so if you’re looking to be in the smack of nightlife, head to Pa Tong. There’s also the Phuket Zoo, museums, and Phuket FantaSea theme park. Discover panoramic views of the island from the various viewpoints and enjoy!
