Citibank personal loan is a fixed rate unsecured personal term loan, calculated on effective interest rate. Collateral or a guarantor is not required for the application of this instalment loan.

Customers have an option of either 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. Selected customers who are existing Citi credit cardmembers could be entitled to a special tenure of 72 months. Kindly contact a Citibank officer for further information.

The prescribed rate refers to the effective interest rate (EIR) payable on the loan, calculated on a daily basis on monthly rest, on the principal amount outstanding for the relevant month billed.

The calculation starts from the date on which the loan amount is disbursed up to the date of full loan settlement.

Your final loan approval, loan amount and prescribed rate are subject to Citibank's assessment and review.

If approved, they will be reflected in the letter of approval sent to you.

You'll be notified by SMS or by written confirmation of the loan approval amount and disbursement.

The approved loan sum will be auto credited into the beneficiary account according to the loan application form.

If the approvable loan amount by Citibank is less than 70% of the loan amount applied for, then Citibank will get in touch with you via a call prior to disbursement.

That is to reconfirm whether you are still keen to take up the approvable loan amount.

It is a fixed rate unsecured personal term loan that can help you consolidate and refinance up to 5 of your existing unsecured debts, such as personal loans and credit cards from other financial institutions in Malaysia.

You need to prepare your usual identification and income documents. On top of that, you'll also need the latest redemption statement or latest closure quotation of personal loan, and/or any latest credit card statement(s) from the other banks that you would like to consolidate with Citi.

Your application will be rejected, because partial settlement of the amount of debt that you intend to consolidate cannot be accepted.

In the event of excess payment, you are solely responsible to request a refund from the respective banking and financial institution.

Only funds from the cash option (if you have opted for it) can be disbursed to your current or savings account as per your nomination in the application form. The remaining balance of the approved amount will be disbursed directly to those respective financing facilities via GIRO transfer, according to the redemption statement/latest personal loan closure quotation/latest credit card statement account details provided by you.
